In the recent elections 2017, BJP won clear majority out 57 out of 70 seats and Trivendra Singh Rawat was elected as CM and now the current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is Trivendra Singh Rawat, whereas BJP won 57, but it was very close to the majority and BSP didn’t win any seats, other including independent candidates on 7 seats.

Exit polling is like any other polling only in person. The in-person part is what increases the likelihood of ‘incorrect results’ because it amplifies problems inherent to more normal polling.  The main reason exit polls differ from final election results is that of sampling or response bias.
